A wonderful blessing for our Holy Week and Easter celebrations (Service Times Here) will be the adornment of our sanctuary with the wooden cross from the original St Mark’s building spire (1953-1965) . We mark the 70th year of this parish’s first service which was held on Palm Sunday in 1953.
Thank you to Neil Dunning for rescuing the old spire cross and mounting it on another historical piece of wood, a piece of barn beam reclaimed from Keith Potts’ family farm.
St. Mark’s does have a smaller cross, made in 1988 from a piece of the original by Slim Belliveau, which hangs on the wall in the front foyer of St. Mark’s
